Wicklow Mountains

Oct. 5

On Sunday we went on a tour of the Wicklow Mountains. This is something you absolutely must do when you are in Ireland. We did a bus tour, which was really great!

Our first stop was to Glencree Valley. Glencree Valley is an old military barrack. It also has a nice little coffee shop.

While going through the Sally Gap, we stopped to take pictures of the breathtaking views.

Bridge from P.S. I Love you

Next we went to the Guinness lakes. Named because the land has been owned by the family that makes Guinness for a long time.

After the lake we went to Glendalough.

On top of the beautiful views, Glendalough also has an old Monk place. It's where people would seek pardon and safety.

Celtic Cross (very big in Ireland)                               Bell Tower

Lastly we went to Avoca. A small little village where we had lunch at Fitzgeralds.

While in Avoca, we went to the Avoca Mill, where we saw how they sew using wool.

It was an incredible day!
